About Me
Hi there, friend! My name is Amandine Loveland and I am so glad you are here. My husband and I have six wonderful kids, all under the age of seven…you can imagine how crazy beans it is in our home. Taking time to create colorful and uplifting art is what keeps me sane! If I am not at my art desk, you can find me outside, reading some Agatha Christie, at the library, or strolling around our lovely city with kids in tow.
Pre-loved Paper
I have always been passionate about using the materials that I have on hand, and breathing new life into pre-used things. All of the papers I use have had a previous life: homework sheets, cross-stitch patterns, dictionary pages, recipes, bills, instruction manuals, etc.
Hand-printing
Part of my process is printing with a gelli plate. I use bright colored paints and mark-making tools from around the house to create new patterns and designs on the papers I have collected. These make for a unique collection of handprinted papers that I then use to create my collages!
